VolleyballNH F.A.Q.

  • I registered but I still cannot access member only areas?
    • You should check your email for a confirmation link.  Though it’s not very obvious (sorry), the system sends an email to the address you used while registering to prevent against spammers or someone subscribing you without your permission.
  • I am visiting various groups but there doesn’t seem to be any content to read?
    • If there is nothing in the main body of the ” Groups” page,  try clicking on “Forms”.  Forums are arranged by topics.  Feel free to start your own topic anytime.
  • I am a registered user but I can’t access some of the groups?
    • Some groups are private.  The creator of each group has the option to make it public (like the “Playing Volleyball in NH” group) or private (like the “Just for Coaches” group).
    • All visitors have access to content in public groups but must be logged in (registered members of VBNH) to post.
    • To view and participate in private groups you must be a registered member of VBNH and be invited to the group by a group administrator.  You may also request membership to a particular group and be granted access by a group administrator.
  • What does “Activity” mean?
    • The Activity link varies.  If you click on it while viewing your profile (or another member’s profile) it shows activity just for you (or that member).
    • If you click on the main Activity link (using the menu at the top of the website), you will see recent activity for the entire site.
    • To view Activity specific to a group, simply click on the Group name/link.  The “Home” page for the group displays current activity.
    • Private Group Activity will never be visible to the general public.
  • How come my comments don’t show up right away?
    • If you are a new user, you must have your first comment approved (to guard against those pesky spammers).  Once you have comments approved, your future comments  will appear without needing approval.
  • User names:
    • No characters, no numbers.  just lower case letters please!  Thanks.
  • Why should I join or register?
    • Because VolleyballNH is kind-a cool, and free, and it doesn’t exist without you.    The more people who participate, the more useful the site will become as a resource for volleyball related information in NH.
    • Rest assured, your email will not be put on any mailing lists (except for those emails in profile->preferences that you specifically request.  This is, and always has been, a free community service.
